If you are on Maui and in Lahaina looking for good sushi, you need to check out Oku’s Sushi Bar! It’s located in Kobe Steakhouse on Dickenson Street. I always try and make it there whenever I’m in town. These are some of the dishes I had on my last visit!
Maguro, Hamachi, Sake, and Ika Nigiri! Oh yeah!
Scallop Dynamite, this and a bowl of rice can make a meal!
Spicy Ahi Roll – Oku’s Style! Maguro Sashimi, Spicy Ahi, Sprouts, Cucumber, and Carrots all in a roll!
Deep Fried Ama Ebi, eat’um head and all!
Misoyaki Butterfish! So simple but one of the best I’ve tasted.
Spider Roll!
A lot of people don’t know about this place because it’s in Kobe, but the locals know that this is the place for sushi on the West Side. They also have a kama`aina discount so you can’t go wrong! Oh, and the old, Japanese man behind the sushi bar, that’s Oku! Check him out!
